12 Weeks Pregant Today |
The Baby: Measures 2 1/2 inches (61mm) and weighs 1/3 to 1/2oz (8 to 14g). The baby is fully formed from top to toe, although its organs continue to develop, particularily its brain. Its bones continue to harden this week. |
The Mama and Papa: On May 1 we have our second Doctors appointment. Mark met Dr. Bourke today. Everything seems to be going great, and Chantelle is healthy. She has lost some weight but the baby continues to be growing fine. Clothes are starting to feel a little tight this week. We take our 3 month pregnancy photo today. |

11 Weeks Pregant Today |
The Baby: Measures 1 3/4 to 2 1/4 inches (44 to 60mm) and weighs 1/3oz (8g). By the end of this week the baby's body will double in length. |
The Mama and Papa: Cousin Carter's 3rd birthday party is this weekend. Chantelle is still having trouble eating. Nothing seems to want to stay down. Bachache's are also a problem still this week. So much that Chantelle takes a day off work to spend some time in the shower, with a heating pad, and with Icy Hot. |

10 Weeks Pregant Today |
The Baby: Measures 1 1/4 to 1 2/3 inches (31 to 42mm) and weighs 1/2 oz (5g). The baby is now no longer an embryo but a fetus. The baby's nervous system is responsive and many of its internal organs have begun to function. Its heart is completely developed. Genitals have begun to form, but its too early to distinguish the sex. |
The Mama and Papa: Its Easter this week. We spend the time with our family. This week Chantelle begins to have terrible Bachache's. Icy Hot seems to help a bit. Hopefully this isn't a problem for the next 30 weeks. |

9 Weeks Pregant Today |
The Baby: Measures 1 inch (22 to 30mm). The baby is beginning to look like a normal baby. Its hands, feet, and limbs are growing really fast. Fingers and toes are started to appear. Even its eye lids are almost finished taking shape. |
The Mama and Papa: This week cousin Cayden David Young was born weighing in at 9lbs, 9oz. Baby and Cayden should be in the same grade, and have fun growing up together. Congratulations Kelly, Dave and Carter for you new addition. |

8 Weeks Pregant Today |
The Baby: Measures just over 1/2 inch (14 to 20mm). The baby's head is still larger than the rest of its body, and its facial features contine to develop. Most of the baby's internal organs such as its heart, brain, liver, lungs, and kidneys are developed in their basic forms. The baby begins to move around, although I cannot feel it yet. |
The Mama and Papa: Marks birthday was April 7. This was the beginning of my morning sickness. We went out for supper at the Mongolian grill, and the second we got home I was sick. I hope this does not last long!!! |

7 Weeks Pregant Today |
The Baby: Measures 1/6 to 1/5 inch (4 to 5mm). The tail has almost vanished now. Dark spots appear on the sides of the baby's head that will be its eyes. All major organs are forming, lips, tongue, arms and legs are all starting to form. |
The Mama and Papa: We had our first Doctors appointment this week, April 3rd. We reviewed my blood work, blood pressure. Everything looks great for a healthy pregnancy. We also had our first ultrasound on April 5. We got to see the baby for the first time. We could even see the heart beating. |

6 Weeks Pregant Today |
The Baby: Measures 1/12 to 1/6 inch (2 to 4mm). The baby looks like a tadpole, with a curved back and tail. But now it has a brain, and a heart that is no bigger than a poppy seed but is beating on its own. |
The Mama and Papa: It's so exciting to know we are pregnant. Its going to be a long long long 9 months! |

5 Weeks Pregant Today |
The Baby: Measures 1/20 inch (1.25mm). The central nervous system starts to form, and the baby's brain and spinal cord are beginning to develop. |
The Mama and Papa: Today we went to the Walk-in clinic to get all our pre-natal tests done. A blood test was order for Monday morning and of course came back positive. The Walk-in clinic refers us to an OB Dr. Bourke. We setup our first ultrasound and pre-natal doctors visit. We told our family and close friends today. We gave everyone Easter cards signed Love Baby Bernard, P.S. See you in November. It took a few glances and puzzled looks before everyone caught on. |

The Baby: Measures between 1/70 and 1/25 of an inch (0.36mm - 1mm). |
The Mama and Papa: We got a positive pregnancy test today. Although very faint, we cannot stop smiling! Ash's 2nd birthday is today and we have to manage to keep quiet until we are sure about the pregnancy. What a LONG LONG day! During this week, we tested a total of 6 times, all showing up positive. It's official, we're parents! |
